TL;DR
Automation Engineering Technician - 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm) (PLCs/Robotics): Supporting the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated manufacturing systems with an accent on PLCs, HMIs, robotics, wiring, and production quality. Focus on diagnosing equipment issues, implementing efficiency improvements, maintaining technical documentation, and training operators on automated equipment.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; onsite second shift, 2:00pm–10:00pm. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Set up, install, maintain, inspect, test, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and related equipment.
  • Support engineers and cross-functional teams in implementing automation solutions in production.
  • Monitor production processes and support efficiency, reliability, quality, safety, and cost-reduction improvements.
  • Maintain system checklists, troubleshooting guides, maintenance logs, and other technical documentation.
  • Train operators and maintenance staff and assist with manufacturing equipment repairs and vendor coordination.
  • Inspect automated processes and products against dimensional and performance specifications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with automated equipment, robotics, and control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, technical communication, assembly, and wiring skills.
  • Proficiency with power and hand tools and basic fixturing and assembly practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

  • Associate’s degree in automation, industrial maintenance, electrical/mechanical technology, or a related field.
  • PC skills, including MS Office, and exposure to CAD software.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, quality, and production teams.
