TL;DR
Automation Engineering Technician - 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am) (PLCs, HMIs, Robotics): Supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of automated manufacturing systems with an accent on production efficiency, quality, and safety. Focus on diagnosing control and robotics issues, assisting with automation implementation, and maintaining reliable equipment performance during third-shift operations.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; onsite, 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am

What you will do

  • Set up, install, maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and related equipment.
  • Support engineers and cross-functional teams in implementing automation solutions in production.
  • Monitor production processes and support efficiency, reliability, quality, safety, and cost-reduction improvements.
  • Maintain system checklists, troubleshooting guides, maintenance logs, and other technical documentation.
  • Train and support operators and maintenance staff on automated equipment.
  • Assist with equipment repairs, vendor coordination, and inspection of dimensional and performance specifications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with automated equipment, robotics, and control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, technical communication, assembly, and wiring skills.
  • Proficiency with power and hand tools and basic fixturing and assembly practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Associate’s degree in Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical or Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • PC skills, including MS Office, and exposure to CAD software.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, quality, and production teams.
