Mechanical Assembly Technician - Weekend Shift (Defense Robotics)

Location: Austin, TX; onsite weekend shift

What you will do

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies from technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions.
• Operate shop tools and equipment to fabricate or modify parts.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshoot assembled units.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
• Document assembly procedures, modifications, and test results.
• Follow company and industry quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting experience; 2+ years is preferred.
• Recent graduates and entry-level candidates may be considered, with on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD models, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and diagnostic abilities.
• Collaborative communication skills, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and a strong sense of ownership.
