What you will do
- Lead procurement activities for the Piedras Negras plant and manage supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery.
- Conduct business reviews with key suppliers and support supplier development initiatives.
- Develop and execute annual cost reduction plans through negotiations, VAVE projects, and second-source implementation.
- Partner with Engineering on new product introductions, engineering changes, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Category Management on production and sourcing strategies.
- Monitor procurement KPIs, maintain supplier pricing and approved source lists in SAP, and support supply chain risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of procurement experience, preferably including category management responsibilities.
- Experience with manufactured products, supplier relationship management, sourcing strategies, and cost analysis.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction projects and using ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, project management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
