COBOL Developer

What you will do

• Develop COBOL application logic from customer-defined specifications.
• Analyze existing program logic to identify appropriate changes and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain and modify production programs to meet user needs and ensure efficient operation.
• Prepare program specifications, diagrams, and logic flowcharts.
• Test, debug, support, and maintain customer application programs across different business environments.
• Report directly to the project manager or team lead and collaborate throughout the software development life cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience with COBOL code analyzer software or projects extracting business logic from mainframe COBOL systems.
• Experience across all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Strong analytical skills and experience creating program specifications and requirements.
• Experience with health insurance programs.
• Good English communication skills and strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
