Backend Engineer (Go)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Full-time employment governed by Vietnam labour regulations through the hirify.global Vietnam entity.

What you will do

• Build scalable and robust web services, backend persistence layers, and APIs in Go.
• Collaborate on data models, technical architecture, data flows, schemas, and API contracts.
• Implement features using Clean Architecture and backend security and scalability best practices.
• Maintain OpenAPI documentation for new and existing APIs.
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute to code reviews through documented pull requests.
• Work with Jira-tracked sprints, GitHub trunk-based development, AWS infrastructure, and Datadog monitoring.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional programming experience in Go.
• At least 3 years of experience building backend systems.
• At least 3 years of experience writing SQL against normalized data structures.
• Proficiency in debugging and identifying performance issues with developer tooling.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Professional English proficiency is highly preferred.
