Staff Product Manager, GTPN (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, United States; flexibility to work across multiple time zones with global teams.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for GTPN customer-facing APIs, from ideation through delivery and optimization.
• Define and champion the platform strategy, vision, roadmap, requirements, and success metrics.
• Engage enterprise customers, developers, and partners to validate use cases and product features.
• Translate complex financial use cases into scalable, secure, and intuitive APIs with engineering teams.
• Lead cross-functional delivery with engineering, design, sales, compliance, and data science.
• Represent GTPN with senior stakeholders and enterprise partners while mentoring other product managers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years focused on platform or API products in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure.
• Track record of defining, building, and launching successful scalable API-powered platforms or products.
• Deep understanding of API design, security, and developer experience.
• Ability to balance long-term product vision with short-term execution and commercial priorities.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, plus a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones with global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, banking partners, and card network rules.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, GitHub, or API client tooling.
• Developer experience, knowledge of KYC/AML and regulatory compliance, or experience in hyper-growth startup environments.
• Exceptional English and Chinese communication skills.
• Master’s degree and interest in the intersection of finance, AI, and developer platforms.
