Technical Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote, candidates must already be based in the United States.

What you will do

• Own a product vertical end to end, including strategy, outcomes, metrics, roadmap, prioritization, backlog, and acceptance criteria.
• Shape technical designs with engineering across system boundaries, datastores, APIs, queues, money movement, reconciliation, security, latency, scalability, and recovery.
• Make trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and user experience, and defend decisions with engineering, compliance, and operations stakeholders.
• Incorporate licensing, CDD/KYC, transaction limits, sanctions and PEP screening, transaction monitoring, data residency, and privacy into product decisions.
• Define safe and measurable AI functionality, including evaluation, human oversight, uncertainty handling, and traceability to real records.
• Coordinate delivery across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance/Reconciliation while clearing partner and regulatory launch gates.

Requirements

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end to end and making decisions under ambiguity.
• Strong product leadership and system-design skills, including architecture, datastores, queues, workflows, APIs, failure modes, and concurrency consistency.
• Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain such as payments, banking, remittance, or insurance, or the ability to ramp up quickly.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based products and defining offline, online, and human-feedback evaluation approaches.
• Technical depth sufficient to read, review, challenge, and sketch architecture and sequence designs without producing production code.
• Strong English communication is required, and candidates must already be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Engineer or highly technical product management background.
• Zero-to-one experience and experience shipping AI-heavy consumer products.
• Experience defining evaluation metrics for ML or LLM systems.
• AI UX and failure-handling intuition.
• Southeast Asian market experience.
