Focus on leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, establishing metrics and planning cadences, and improving execution predictability across multiple teams.

What you will do
- Translate business and product strategy into scalable engineering capabilities, operating models, and execution plans.
- Develop engineering planning processes, governance frameworks, decision-making systems, and organizational rhythms.
- Lead engineering excellence initiatives covering developer productivity, quality, reliability, operational maturity, and continuous improvement.
- Establish engineering effectiveness metrics and dashboards to track organizational health, delivery performance, and productivity.
- Facilitate strategic planning, quarterly planning, roadmap reviews, leadership meetings, business reviews, and operational retrospectives.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives including AI enablement, developer experience, technical governance, and organizational scaling.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership, technical program management, engineering operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives in complex technology organizations.
- Experience establishing engineering operating models, governance, planning processes, and execution frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software engineering organizations, Agile development, DevOps, and engineering metrics in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, organizational, executive presentation, and analytical skills.
Nice to have
- Experience partnering directly with VP or C-level technology executives.
- Experience scaling engineering organizations during rapid growth or transformation.
- Familiarity with developer productivity and organizational effectiveness measurement.
