Engineering Leader (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; work arrangement: on-site. Relocation to the United States is supported for successful candidates, with visa sponsorship available.

What you will do

• Translate the product roadmap into engineering execution and partner with the CTO, founders, product, and design leads.
• Scale the engineering organization and culture beyond the founding team while maintaining high velocity.
• Drive execution by parallelizing work, removing bottlenecks, and shortening iteration cycles.
• Own architecture decisions that balance speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute directly to code and technical reviews when needed.
• Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing engineers into leaders.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering at a high-growth startup or serving as a technical product leader with a strong engineering background.
• Experience building and scaling consumer-facing applications with strong product quality and user focus.
• Experience with startup growth from 0 to 1 and 1 to 100.
• Deep coding experience and the ability to review code and make architecture decisions.
• Strong product judgment and understanding of product and engineering trade-offs.
• Based in San Francisco and comfortable working in a fast-moving, in-person culture.
