Claims Adjuster I (Insurance)

Location: Bedford, Texas, United States; three days in the office every other week

What you will do

• Examine claim forms, records, and investigation findings to determine insurance coverage.
• Interpret account coverage and assess the extent of loss, damage, or company liability.
• Evaluate casualty and property claims and settle them within prescribed authority limits.
• Calculate and approve claim payments, ensure drafts are issued, and obtain liability releases.
• Comply with applicable state laws, company policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Adjuster license required.
• 0–3 years of claims adjusting experience.
• Knowledge of claims adjusting required; knowledge of Collateral Protection Insurance and InsurTrak is helpful.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, 45 WPM typing speed, attention to detail, multitasking, communication, organization, and time management skills.
• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not provided now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Bilingual Spanish skills.
• Knowledge of Collateral Protection Insurance and InsurTrak.
