Focus on troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer-controlled systems, documenting equipment events, and sustaining manufacturing readiness during 12-hour night shifts.

Location: Onsite at the Malta, New York Fab 8 facility, USA. D shift nights follow an alternating schedule: Wednesday to Saturday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM in week one, and Wednesday to Friday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM in week two.

Salary: $43,100–$70,600 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

  • Monitor, sustain, test, and improve semiconductor equipment and processes in the assigned area.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets according to operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using mechanical, electronic, and computer skills.
  • Recover equipment after process interruptions and document events and shift handoffs.
  • Work with production team members, area engineers, and lead technicians to maintain manufacturing readiness.
  • Support safe operations, training activities, continuous improvement, and procedure development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following: a two-year technical degree, two years of relevant military experience, or four years of relevant experience.
  • Electrical or mechanical experience, with basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
  • English fluency in written and verbal communication is required.
  • Ability to work onsite in a semiconductor cleanroom for extended periods, including wearing required cleanroom clothing and PPE.
  • Ability to work 12-hour alternating day or night shifts, stand and walk for most of the shift, climb, crouch, use hand tools, and periodically lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in engineering technology, military or trade equivalent, or equivalent experience.
  • Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with statistical process control, defect troubleshooting, structured problem-solving, and quality workmanship.
  • Project management, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
