Equipment Maintenance Technician - Swing Shift (M-F 2pm-10:30pm)

Location: Onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters in San Jose, California, United States. Swing shift is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM; flexibility for 12-hour AWS shifts, overtime, and weekends is required.

Salary: $72,000–$96,000 per year, with possible overtime and shift differential pay.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned wafer manufacturing tools using Manufacturing Maintenance Manual procedures.
• Document preventive maintenance, equipment data, failures, and repairs in checklists, logbooks, Resource Viewer, and Forum Notes.
• Troubleshoot unscheduled equipment failures, identify root causes, complete repairs, and select accurate downtime codes.
• Provide inputs to improve MTBF, PM cycle time, tool availability, quality, wafer scrap, and cost of ownership.
• Train and certify maintenance personnel and collaborate with Tool Owners and Equipment Engineers on preventive-maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with vacuum, photo, or wet/plating technologies.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude, including the ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
• Ability to isolate failure mechanisms, determine root cause, and perform repairs.
• Knowledge of control systems and/or PLCs, plus proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications and Forum Notes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, management, customers, and suppliers.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible 12-hour AWS shifts as required.

Nice to have

• Technical degree in electronics.
• Military experience or semiconductor industry experience.
• Experience with Veeco, ASML, Canon, Nikon, KLA Tencor, Balzers, Commonwealth, Comptech, CVC, ALD/HSALD, MeiVac, Unaxis, or Anelva systems.
