Systems Engineering Technician III (Automation & Control)

Location: Onsite in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Less than 10% travel may be required.

What you will do

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing automation and control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI.
• Perform backups, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and system health checks to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose first-line issues, collaborate with engineers on root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support deployment of new automation assets, functional upgrades, system testing, validation, and commissioning.
• Execute approved change requests, verify data accuracy, and maintain troubleshooting and maintenance records.
• Identify improvements to system reliability, efficiency, and usability while following safety procedures, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or associate/bachelor's degree in Automation & Control, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing automation or equipment maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols such as OPC and Modbus.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and control systems, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic English skills for understanding technical documents are required.
