Electrical Engineer II (Automation)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; onsite office environment

What you will do

• Define, design, test, document, and release new electrical products.
• Design electrical and control systems for fluid applicators, fluid management systems, automation machines, and customer line-control interfaces.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify safety, regulatory compliance, quality, and performance.
• Follow the stage-gate process, plan milestones, manage cost targets, and deliver projects on schedule.
• Integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate with product management, operations, customers, and project teams on specifications, prototypes, manufacturing, training, and beta testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 4–7 years of experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
• SolidWorks design experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, electrical and control systems, product testing, and technical documentation.
• Ability to plan and coordinate tasks, manage risks, meet deadlines, and work independently or within cross-functional teams.
• Strong written, oral, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in an office environment and travel approximately 5% for customer Voice-of-Customer activities and project meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience with sensors, measuring devices, control systems, and automation.
• Stage-gate and project management experience.
• Experience developing and launching new products.
• Customer interaction and factory visit experience.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, especially SAP.
