What you will do
- Serve as chief legal advisor to the President and executive leadership.
- Lead legal affairs across commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, employment law, litigation, intellectual property, and enterprise risk.
- Negotiate complex agreements with customers, suppliers, distributors, licensors, and strategic partners.
- Develop and oversee governance frameworks, compliance programs, and legal policies.
- Protect patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and proprietary technologies.
- Manage litigation, investigations, outside counsel, and legal support for manufacturing, engineering, operations, environmental, safety, and regulatory initiatives.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in good standing.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible legal experience.
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, employment law, and risk management.
- Experience advising executive leadership, with excellent judgment, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Nice to have
- Combined law firm and in-house legal experience.
- Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technology industry experience.
- Experience managing patents, trademarks, trade secrets, mergers and acquisitions, outside counsel, or legal budgets.
- Experience supporting international operations, privately held companies, or Boards of Directors.
