Legal Counsel (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Draft and review commercial contracts in Chinese and English, including sales, procurement, and technology licensing agreements.
• Optimize contract templates and legal management processes under common law principles.
• Provide legal risk assessments and practical advice on intellectual property, export controls, procurement, and other operational matters.
• Support major commercial negotiations and provide end-to-end legal support for key company projects.
• Monitor and assess legislative and enforcement developments affecting the semiconductor industry, particularly U.S. and Chinese export control regimes.
• Handle disputes and litigation matters and manage relationships with external counsel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chinese law and a PRC Bar qualification, Class A.
• Knowledge of U.S. law and common law systems; an LL.M. from a common law jurisdiction is preferred.
• English required as a working language, with CET-6 level or above and strong legal drafting and contract-review skills.
• At least two years of experience in common law contract practice, or relevant legal support experience at a reputable law firm or multinational corporation.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to communicate effectively across departments.
