Principal, Continuous Improvement, DFSS

Location: Aurora, Illinois; in-office or remote within the United States

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Consult, coach, and mentor DFSS PIDOV and DMAIC projects across R&D, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and quality.
• Apply statistical methods, capability analysis, performance prediction, measurement system analysis, SPC, and multivariate analysis to R&D and manufacturing data.
• Use DOE for screening, characterization, and optimization of product and process decisions.
• Coach teams on VOC-to-CTQ translation, QFD, CTQ flow-down, requirements definition, system models, transfer functions, and DFSS scorecards.
• Develop and deliver training on Six Sigma, DFSS, DOE, SPC, capability analysis, and advanced analytics.
• Prepare technical reports and identify improvement opportunities related to Cpk/DPPM, NPI robustness, FPY, COPQ, and lead time.

Requirements

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• 5+ years of experience in quality, engineering, R&D, manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated experience leading or consulting on DFSS and Six Sigma projects.
• Strong knowledge of DFSS, DMAIC, statistical methods, DOE, SPC, capability analysis, and process characterization.
• Experience coaching project teams and delivering training to non-statistical audiences.
• Working knowledge of Minitab, JMP, or equivalent statistical software and MS Office; ability to travel up to 25%.
