Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Circleville, Ohio, United States; hybrid work with approximately 20% travel to supplier locations and hirify.global manufacturing sites.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain quality standards for raw, intermediate, and consumable materials used in polyimide film and clad laminate manufacturing.
• Monitor incoming material quality with SPC tools, troubleshoot supplier-related manufacturing issues, and lead root-cause investigations and mitigation plans.
• Conduct supplier QMS and technical audits, lead quality meetings, track improvement activities, and provide performance feedback through quarterly scorecards.
• Drive raw-material, supplier, and sub-supplier changes through qualification, trials, risk assessment, and change-management processes.
• Develop material risk-mitigation FMEAs and evaluate second-source opportunities and alternate supplier agreements.
• Lead cross-functional task forces with Process Engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers across North American sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of combined experience in manufacturing, development/scale-up, quality, or continuous improvement engineering.
• Experience with FMEAs, DOE, control charts, Gage R&R, ANOVA, and statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Proven change-management and project-management skills, including work in a global environment across cultures.
• Advanced computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and ability to translate complex quality cases into actionable plans.

Nice to have

• Supplier Quality experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry.
• Knowledge of polyimide materials, analytical and material-characterization techniques, and results interpretation.
