Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Resident Engineer, ANS

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California or Monterey County, California

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee onsite transit construction activities, contractor operations, traffic conditions, safety, quality, and compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate contract records covering construction progress, expenditures, budgets, work orders, quantities, daily activities, and as-built conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors, field inspectors, project and construction managers, clients, and executive leadership on project delivery.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, CPM plans, and project risks while supporting quality, schedule, and cost control.
• Prepare change orders, contract documents, claim reports, and engineering redesign solutions for field conditions.
• Resolve contractor disputes and perform constructability reviews of design packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer registration in California.
• At least 10 years of construction management experience on transit projects valued at $30 million or more.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience managing major construction contracts of similar size and scope.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license.
• Onsite presence at the client site is required.
