What you will do

• Assemble and finish boiler components involving tubing, insulation, refractory, pipefitting, and painting.
• Read shop orders, work instructions, production documentation, blueprints, and assembly specifications.
• Operate air tools, power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes safely.
• Inspect work, identify defects, and complete operations within quality and production-time standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing area while communicating hazard-reduction opportunities.
• Work with production colleagues and assist with employee training or mentoring as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to read shop orders, work instructions, production documents, basic blueprints, and use a tape measure.
• Ability to safely operate industrial tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Ability to work on a manufacturing floor, stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work from scaffolding, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Successful employment eligibility verification, background checks, drug screening, and required pre-employment testing are required.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, construction, or industrial production experience.
• Boiler manufacturing, pipefitting, insulation, refractory installation, painting, or related industrial trade experience.
• Experience with precision measuring tools, quality inspections, lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement.
• Experience training or onboarding new employees.
