Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (FinTech)

Location: Remote within the United States; compensation tiers are defined for U.S. work locations

Salary: $115,600–$170,000 USD annually, depending on work location, experience, qualifications, and internal leveling

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and optimize maintainable automated test frameworks for complex product areas.
• Build and maintain automated API, UI, and integration test suites.
• Lead test strategy, risk analysis, test architecture, and release planning for major features and systems.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve coverage, efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Investigate complex defects and production issues through debugging and root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior SDETs and QA engineers, review test code, and drive cross-functional quality improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development and test automation.
• Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and test automation frameworks.
• Deep experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or RestAssured.
• Strong expertise in API, UI, and integration testing, CI/CD integration, test strategy, risk analysis, and test architecture.
• Advanced debugging, database systems, SQL, observability, monitoring, communication, and mentorship skills.
