Staff SDET (FinTech)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $140,000–$166,300 per year

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and optimize automated test suites across UI, API, microservices, mobile, and database layers.
• Design test strategies, plans, automation frameworks, quality gates, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and participate in code, architecture, Agile, and release reviews.
• Perform functional and regression testing, analyze results, report defects, and track issues through closure.
• Triage customer and production issues, analyze logs and metrics, perform root cause analysis, and recommend system hardening.
• Guide and mentor SDETs, oversee automation practices, and maintain test environments and test data.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree; bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns experience with C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar; familiarity with Shell and PowerShell scripting.
• Expertise with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Espresso, RestAssured, HttpClient, and testing frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, Pytest, or Cucumber.
• Experience with Git workflows, build and artifact management, cloud-device testing, and CI/CD tools including GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, complex SQL queries, white-box testing, performance testing, REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Kafka, SQS, microservices, and Kubernetes.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States for full-time employment; employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Experience with B2B2C SaaS products in fintech.
• Experience building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
