Software Development Engineer In Test (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA; local hiring only; office attendance required 6 times per month

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable end-to-end testing frameworks for data stores, data pipelines, services, and web front-ends.
• Build data validation automation and perform API load, system security, and data security testing.
• Architect and lead automated testing infrastructure and testing strategy for cloud CI/CD.
• Develop, execute, and troubleshoot automated testing scripts and builds.
• Research and prototype testing tools to support architectural decisions.
• Evaluate existing automation frameworks and define improvements to testing procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of software development experience with strong knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Understanding of system security best practices.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and Git source control.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.

Nice to have

• Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, or data warehouses.
• Familiarity with BDD, Playwright, Locust, and other testing platforms.
• Familiarity with AI tools and technologies.
