Data Test Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Tempe, Arizona; hybrid options are available in the Phoenix, Arizona and San Francisco, California metro markets, with remote work in other select U.S. cities and states.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Test lending data microservices, daily data jobs, application-facing functional data, and business intelligence reporting.
• Execute end-to-end testing of code and services using API testing frameworks such as RestAssured and Unirest.
• Build and maintain UI automation with JavaScript-based frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO.
• Triage defects, validate systems with Datadog, and collaborate with engineering and technical teams.
• Establish QA best practices, coding guidelines, tools, and processes to improve team productivity.
• Support team development through training, delegation, accountability, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software quality assurance experience with web applications, REST APIs, and/or Salesforce.
• At least 2 years of programming experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with data profiling.
• Understanding of data architectures such as Medallion and tools such as Airflow and DAGs.
• Ability to understand system architecture and infrastructure and manage multiple products or projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with TestRail, JIRA, Datadog, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with JavaScript, iOS, or Android automation frameworks.
