Product Designer (AI Security)

Location: US - Mountain View; hybrid

Base salary: $126,400–$189,600 per year, plus potential stock-based compensation.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end design for data security and file security features, including DLP policies, file scanning and sanitization, sensitive data alerts, quarantine, and remediation.
• Translate data classification rules, file policies, and inspection results into clear, configurable admin experiences.
• Design explainable AI/ML-driven classification and detection patterns, including confidence indicators, risk explanations, review, override, and appeal flows.
• Create end-user experiences such as file download warnings, redaction previews, and access requests.
• Partner with product management and engineering on customer discovery, prioritization, delivery, and usability testing.
• Extend security-specific design system patterns and contribute to responsible AI-assisted research, prototyping, and team craft standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product design experience, including work with B2B or enterprise applications.
• Experience designing for technical or administrative users, such as policy builders, rules engines, dashboards, or configuration-heavy interfaces.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to map conditional workflows, edge cases, policy conflicts, and exception handling.
• Portfolio demonstrating how complex rules-based systems were simplified into usable interfaces.
• Proficiency with Figma and modern design system workflows.
• Working fluency with AI-assisted design and research tools, including validating AI-generated outputs before using them in design decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience working with product management and engineering in an agile environment and presenting design rationale to executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with DLP, content inspection, and sensitive data classification.
• Knowledge of AI/ML products or AI security, including prompt injection risk, AI-assisted threat detection, or model governance.
• Experience mentoring or developing other designers.
