Product Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco office, at least 4 days per week; hybrid work format.

Salary: $170K–$220K per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Partner with design, product, and engineering to create digital experiences that drive business impact.
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for new and existing features.
• Build functional front-to-back prototypes in code and occasionally ship them to production.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor throughout the design and prototyping process.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to create user-centered, data-informed designs.
• Contribute to a consistent and accessible design system while collaborating in person with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Experience designing digital products, ideally in startup or SaaS environments with ownership of significant product surfaces.
• Exceptional design judgment, strong craft, and a portfolio demonstrating UX and visual design ability.
• Proficiency with design tools including Figma and Claude Design.
• Ability to write and ship full-stack code using combinations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
• Hands-on fluency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Comfort with git, terminal workflows, local builds, pull requests, and agile cross-functional collaboration.
