SDET – Regression Automation Engineer (AWS/Terraform)

Location: Remote in Brazil, Colombia, or Costa Rica

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as an SDET, Test Automation Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, or similar technical testing role.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining automated regression suites, including API testing and automation.
• Strong scripting skills for automation, pipeline validation, or log and data validation.
• Experience with load and performance testing, backend systems, infrastructure-heavy environments, data pipelines, or distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Terraform-deployed environments, Infrastructure as Code, and OpenTelemetry-based systems.
• Experience with formal acceptance criteria, Definition of Done, Agile sprint processes, defect triage, fix verification, and Jira or similar tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing observability platforms, log and metric ingestion, distributed tracing, alerting, audit trails, or high-volume data pipelines.
• Experience with failure-injection, resilience, security regression, ERP, or complex enterprise platform testing.
• Experience validating Infrastructure as Code deployments and working with CI/CD-integrated regression suites.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, maintain, and execute automated regression test suites.
• Validate APIs, search and query behavior, log and metric ingestion, telemetry flows, distributed tracing, alerting, and audit trail integrity.
• Test Infrastructure as Code deployments for clean-state reproducibility and zero-manual-step execution.
• Execute load, scalability, failure-injection, and regression scenarios across multiple environments and product versions.
• Investigate, document, triage, and track defects; verify fixes before quality sign-off.
• Collaborate with test architecture and engineering teams, maintain testing documentation, and provide regression evidence during sprint reviews.
