Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test II (Sr. SDET II)

What you will do

• Own test strategy and automation architecture across multiple squads and product areas covering backend, frontend, and mobile systems.
• Design, build, and scale frameworks for API, UI, contract, integration, and performance testing.
• Embed testability and quality gates into system designs and CI/CD pipelines in partnership with engineering leads, architects, and DevOps.
• Mentor SDETs, review test designs, and establish quality engineering practices across squads.
• Lead performance, reliability, security, and chaos engineering initiatives.
• Diagnose complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and introduce tools, test data solutions, mocks, and dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in QA, SDET, or software engineering, including 2+ years designing frameworks and leading quality initiatives.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise with automation tools such as WebdriverIO, Cypress, Appium, Selenium, Playwright, and REST Assured.
• Experience testing distributed systems and microservices, including API contract testing, service mocking, performance testing, load testing, security testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills.

• Experience with AI-assisted automation tools or integrating AI to improve test coverage and efficiency.
