Senior Manager, QA Engineering (Cloud Networking)

Location: United States; remote or hybrid. The listed office location is San Jose, California.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow QA engineers and SDETs across manual, automation, performance, and security testing.
• Define end-to-end integration and system quality strategies, test methodologies, and release quality gates.
• Own testing for cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS applications, including functional, regression, scalability, resiliency, and upgrade testing.
• Build and scale automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, user interfaces, and network device/cloud integrations.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Management, DevOps/SRE, and Customer Support on release readiness, risk management, and go/no-go decisions.
• Establish quality metrics, lead root-cause analysis, manage QA tooling and budget, and coordinate outsourced QA partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience, including 4+ years in QA leadership or people management.
• Experience testing cloud-based or SaaS platforms and building scalable test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, PyTest, Robot Framework, Postman, or REST Assured.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, cloud platforms, microservices, and performance, scalability, and security testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and leading globally distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Networking experience in switching, wireless, SD-WAN, network management, monitoring, or network access control.
• Experience with IoT or edge-device integrations and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• ISTQB, CSM/CSPO, AWS, or Azure certifications.
• Experience in a networking or telecommunications hardware/software company.
