Lead Technician (Wind Energy)

Location: Forsan, Texas, United States; site-based employees collaborate in person daily. Flexible scheduling may include weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $82,800–$98,100 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus based on personal and company performance.

What you will do

• Monitor and enforce safe work practices across wind turbine, balance-of-plant, and substation operations.
• Perform and inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance, repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting on wind turbine equipment.
• Lead crews during site operations, mentor lower-level technicians, and support training and development.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures and coach other technicians in safe LOTO practices.
• Document work, parts, and labor; update manuals, work instructions, and technical turbine data.
• Monitor site conditions, contractors, tools, vehicles, and equipment to maximize revenue and minimize downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in electrical or technical studies with 2+ years of turbine experience, or 5+ years of wind turbine experience.
• At least 1 year of independent turbine troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet and work at height in adverse weather and climate conditions.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, ability to travel, and ability to work with electrical wiring and colored wires.
• Working knowledge of turbine pitch systems, computerized controls, power conversion units, OEM maintenance methods, electrical schematics, and mechanical and electrical repairs.

• Previous SAP experience.
