Mainframe Programmer (SWIFT)

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 annual base salary plus annual target bonus

What you will do

• Support and maintain mission-critical mainframe applications for financial transaction processing and messaging.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and improve application and system performance.
• Install, administer, and support IBM Financial Transaction Manager and related IBM software.
• Participate in coding, testing, code reviews, defect fixes, application upgrades, and release processes.
• Collaborate with operations, infrastructure, database, network, and support teams in a 24x7 high-availability environment.
• Support business continuity, disaster recovery, SWIFT Customer Security Programme requirements, and platform modernization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on mainframe development and support experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, MQ, and z/OS.
• Experience with ChangeMan or equivalent source control and change management tools.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting IBM software products, including IBM Financial Transaction Manager or similar transaction processing platforms.
• Strong SQL, DB2 performance tuning, production troubleshooting, monitoring, and application optimization experience.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support reliable systems in a high-availability financial services environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting financial services transaction processing systems.
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards and infrastructure.
• Experience with IBM Integration Bus or related integration technologies.
• Knowledge of payment processing, settlements, or banking operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
