Mainframe Development & Support (COBOL)

Location: Bangalore, India; 24/7 rotational shifts

What you will do

• Support critical mainframe-based credit, debit, and prepaid card processing systems.
• Resolve production incidents independently and perform root cause analysis.
• Improve system stability and reduce recurring incidents.
• Participate in system resiliency and disaster recovery activities.
• Automate manual processes and use monitoring tools to track performance, alerts, and system health.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams during investigations.

Requirements

• 4–12 years of mainframe development or support experience for banking applications involving credit, debit, or prepaid cards.
• Experience with CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and COBOL.
• Experience with automation and data monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of high availability and system resiliency concepts.
• Ability to handle critical production incidents independently.
• Availability for 24/7 rotational shifts.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of REXX.
• Knowledge of Assembler.
