TL;DR
Sr. Technician - Emergency Response (Emergency Response, Hazmat, Fire Safety): Responding to medical emergencies, hazmat incidents, fires, and other incidents at a 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing facility with an accent on emergency containment, safety compliance, and continuous manufacturing support. Focus on coordinating response resources, conducting safety audits and investigations, maintaining emergency equipment, and developing measures to prevent recurrence.

Location: Essex Junction, Vermont, United States. Night shift N1: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, Sunday–Tuesday and every other Saturday.

Salary: $42,500–$74,300 per year. Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates; 12.5% night-shift differential.

What you will do

  • Respond to medical emergencies, hazmat incidents, fires, and other incidents to protect people, the environment, and property.
  • Coordinate response resources for effective incident containment and support continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Inspect fire systems, maintain emergency equipment, and participate in training exercises.
  • Conduct safety and fire-safety audits, investigate accidents and fires, and identify root causes.
  • Develop recommendations and follow-up actions to prevent recurring accidents and fires.
  • Support environmental, health, safety, and security programs, procedures, and related projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of field experience in emergency medical services, hazmat, or firefighting.
  • Active EMT certification with a Vermont state license and/or NREMT certification.
  • English fluency required for written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to walk, perform repetitive motions, and lift or wear equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, teamwork, and demonstrated leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • Active Firefighter I and II certifications.
  • Active CPR or AEMT certification in Vermont.
  • Hazmat Technician training or experience.
  • Confined-space rescue experience.
  • Three years of manufacturing operations experience.
