Field Service Technician (HAZMAT Emergency Response)

Location: West Phoenix, Arizona, United States; field-based onsite work. New hires must attend a paid two-week Academy training out of state.

Salary: $21–$23 per hour starting pay.

What you will do

• Perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling.
• Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste, inspect drums, and conduct waste-stream sampling and profiling.
• Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, powered industrial tools, and vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT requirements.
• Assist with field sampling and meter calibration while following environmental health and safety procedures.
• Work outdoors and indoors in varied weather, elevated noise, confined spaces, low-clearance areas, at elevations, and around potentially hazardous or corrosive agents.
• Participate in rotating emergency-response on-call duty every other week, including occasional weekends, holidays, and shifts lasting up to 12–24 hours.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, lift and pull heavy objects, climb ladders and scaffolding, and work extended shifts.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators; facial-hair standards apply to respirator-required positions.
• Agreement to emergency-response on-call work, including occasional weekends and holidays.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical examination where applicable.
• Previous relevant labor experience.
