Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Hickory, North Carolina, United States; onsite weekend shift, Friday–Sunday, 6:00pm–6:00am

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate weekend-shift production activities to meet safety, quality, output, and delivery targets.
• Provide technical support for product analysis, testing, measurement discrepancies, equipment alignment, tooling, and production processes.
• Plan work assignments for second- and third-shift production associates and ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Support training, certification, hiring, onboarding, and performance management for manufacturing personnel.
• Maintain quality system requirements, implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
• Use ERP systems and analyze inspection data, production metrics, inventory, and cost information to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, such as molding, machining, assembly, or a similar environment.
• Prior experience as a Production Supervisor or in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Working knowledge of machining, tooling, fixturing, and assembly practices.
• Experience with SPC, DOE, and measurement R&R, plus strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Degree in engineering, technical studies, or a related field.
• Experience with product costing, cost reduction, metrology equipment, ERP systems, or fiber optic assembly and testing.
