Production Supervisor (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Danville, Kentucky, United States — onsite manufacturing role.

What you will do

• Direct daily production activities and coordinate staffing, work assignments, schedules, and overtime to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Monitor production performance, analyze KPIs, address constraints, and coordinate with Maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Lead, coach, onboard, train, and develop production team members while maintaining qualification and training records.
• Manage first-piece, last-piece, and in-process inspections, containment activities, nonconforming products, and quality corrective actions.
• Champion safety, audits, investigations, environmental health and safety initiatives, 5S, and housekeeping standards.
• Lead continuous improvement, layered process audits, waste reduction, cost-saving initiatives, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, and Human Resources.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience and 1–3 years of supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, workflow management, safety compliance, data analysis, and performance metrics.
• Ability to work onsite in Danville, Kentucky, and collaborate effectively across departments.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing software.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Experience in automotive, industrial, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of quality systems, SPC, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
