Production Manager (Defense Hardware)

hirify.global is a defense startup developing autonomous gun turrets that use computer vision and control systems to counter small drones and loitering munitions.

What you will do

• Drive the daily manufacturing schedule and meet delivery milestones for defense and commercial partners.
• Hire, train, and lead production technicians and planners.
• Own digital production workflows in Odoo, including manufacturing orders, work centers, bills of materials, and inventory movements.
• Manage facility throughput from sub-assembly production through turret acceptance testing.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control protocols and correct process or team underperformance.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve assembly bottlenecks and apply Design for Manufacturing feedback.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management involving complex electromechanical hardware.
• Experience with robotics, aerospace, automotive, or comparable high-stakes hardware production.
• Proven experience managing production teams and making personnel and operational decisions.
• Deep ERP experience for managing bills of materials, inventory, and work orders; Odoo experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and oversee high-tolerance robotic assembly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling production from hand-built prototypes to standardized high-volume output.
• Defense industry experience, particularly with hardware deployed to the tactical edge.
• Practical application of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
