Systems Business Analyst Sr. (Financial Services)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annual base salary plus annual target bonus

What you will do

• Gather, clarify, and translate business requirements into system designs and functional specifications.
• Coordinate assigned systems projects, track milestones, and maintain SDLC documentation and project artifacts.
• Facilitate communication between business users, developers, testers, infrastructure teams, managers, and external vendors.
• Design data models, dataflow diagrams, screen designs, workflows, and application solutions for the Security Master File and GoldenSource portfolios.
• Execute systems integration testing, support user acceptance testing, and create test cases covering functionality and performance.
• Research application backend data with basic SQL, guide team members, and contribute to development, testing, deployment, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in technical data analysis.
• Ability to conduct systems analysis meetings with stakeholders and business users.
• Ability to develop system design documents and project plans with achievable milestones and deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate cross-department requirements and obtain approval for system scope and design.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and solution-articulation skills.
• Basic SQL knowledge and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, qTest, and other collaboration tools.
• Experience with COBOL, File AID, CMOD, mainframe screens, MQ monitoring, or mainframe job monitoring.
• Experience creating wireframes with tools such as Balsamiq.
• Exposure to Java and web-based application analysis.
• Knowledge of financial services.
