Senior Hogan Business Systems Analyst (Banking)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; four days onsite at Seneca One Buffalo and one day per week working from home

Salary: $71,600–$119,300 annual USD

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements with banking business units.
• Translate business needs into system specifications, process flows, data mappings, and functional design documents.
• Configure, enhance, troubleshoot, and optimize Hogan core banking modules, including IDS, CIS, and RPM.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, vendors, and managed service providers on scalable solutions and integrations.
• Develop test strategies and cases, support SIT/UAT, coordinate defect resolution, and assist with production deployments.
• Analyze Hogan data flows, APIs, batch processes, middleware, reconciliation, and downstream systems such as payments, reporting, and GL/balancing.

Requirements

• Senior-level Hogan BSA experience with a minimum of five years of higher education and/or operational or business analytics experience.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, including deposits, payments, and customer information systems.
• Experience with Hogan upgrades, conversions, or cloud transformations.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, system integrations, APIs, and modern banking interfaces.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC methodologies, plus familiarity with mainframe environments, COBOL, and JCL.
• Strong documentation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Seven or more years of hands-on Hogan core banking experience delivering complex solutions across multiple interfacing applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and managed services providers.
