Systems/Data Analyst

Location: Smithfield, Rhode Island, United States; hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office

Salary: $62,000–$72,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Analyze legacy systems, business processes, data models, application workflows, and dependencies.
• Gather requirements through discovery sessions and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Assess system integrations, data flows, APIs, batch processes, and downstream application impacts.
• Create requirements documents, process flows, use cases, data mappings, system diagrams, and gap analyses.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on target-state solutions, migration approaches, and implementation risks.
• Support system design integration assessments and migration or modernization decisions.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing legacy systems, system design, data flows, and downstream application integrations.
• Strong understanding of Sybase and SQL environments, including data analysis and data mapping.
• Knowledge of systems analysis techniques such as impact analysis, feasibility studies, gap analysis, process modeling, story mapping, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience working with multiple applications, integration patterns, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the Smithfield, Rhode Island office three days per week under the hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Exposure to microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, AWS, event-driven architectures, batch processing, and workflow automation.
• Experience supporting application modernization, platform migration, or legacy transformation initiatives.
