CNC Machinist (Mill/Turn)

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and program multi-axis CNC turn/mill machines, including up to 5-axis equipment.
• Machine complex spacecraft and rocket engine components, including development and flight hardware.
• Perform precision inspections using metrology equipment and verify drawings, dimensions, GD&T, and tolerances.
• Manage cutting tools, resolve machine alarms and tooling issues, and support machine uptime.
• Perform deburring, precision cleaning, preventative maintenance, and 5S activities.
• Support process improvements, communicate production challenges, and operate manual mills and lathes or perform minor assembly when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, particularly in aerospace machine shops and hard metals.
• Proficiency in G-code and strong setup and operating skills on CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, GD&T, and tolerances.
• Mill-turn and 5-axis setup experience is preferred, along with familiarity with NX, HSMWorks, or Esprit CAD/CAM.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience machining Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum.
• Experience with Heidenhain, Siemens, Haas, or other CNC control systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, tooling technology knowledge, and shop math skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
