Community Banker (Commercial Banking)

What you will do

• Manage, retain, and expand existing commercial banking relationships and develop new loan and deposit business.
• Manage a portfolio of up to 75 clients with credit outstanding of up to $100MM, primarily serving businesses with $25MM–$100MM in sales.
• Build and execute business development plans, prospect for new customers, identify cross-sell opportunities, and maintain client contact schedules.
• Partner with commercial underwriters and internal departments to assess credit risk and structure appropriate credit solutions.
• Monitor loan portfolio quality, analyze customer credit status, prepare loan packages, and obtain required underwriting approvals.
• Provide guidance to less experienced Commercial Bankers and support strategic planning, budgeting, process improvement, growth, and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance major preferred.
• 5–7 years of relationship management experience selling banking products.
• Extensive knowledge of credit and non-credit products.
• Proficiency in credit underwriting, financial analysis, and prior credit experience.
• Knowledge of commercial loan products and lending and compliance regulations.
• Ability to work under stress, meet deadlines, travel when required, and perform essential job functions.
