Manager, Accounts Payable

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team while managing daily workload distribution and escalations.
• Oversee end-to-end vendor invoice processing, purchase order matching, approvals, posting, and payment execution.
• Manage vendor payment disputes, reconciliations, vendor master data, tax information, and supplier relationships.
• Design and monitor controls covering fraud prevention, duplicate payments, segregation of duties, audits, and compliance.
• Own the AP sub-ledger and month-end close, including accruals, general ledger reconciliations, and AP metrics.
• Drive AP automation and process improvements, including ERP implementations, upgrades, OCR, e-invoicing, and workflow tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills, including work with large data sets, pivot tables, and reconciliations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• SOX compliance experience in a public company environment.
• Experience supporting cross-border or multi-currency payment operations.
