Sr Engineer Quantum Technology Development (Silicon Photonics)

Salary: $69,000–$120,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Own and drive the 45nm silicon photonics technology product ramp from development through mature production.
• Manage a semiconductor technology module, including project prioritization, task delegation, experiment definition, and hardware disposition.
• Develop and qualify silicon photonics process flows and integrations for product performance, reliability, and defectivity targets.
• Monitor manufacturing-line performance through data analysis and resolve process issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve yield, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and support customer engagement.
• Follow Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements and programs.

Requirements

• Graduating with a master's degree and/or PhD in photonics, optics, electrical or electronics engineering, microsystems engineering, physics, materials science, or a related technology or physical-science discipline.
• Overall GPA of at least 3.0 and proven good academic standing.
• Written and verbal English fluency required.
• Exposure to silicon photonics and a strong foundation in semiconductor processing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Nice to have

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.
• Leadership experience in the workplace, academic projects, or competitions.
• Project management skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
