What you will do

• Assess intrinsic and extrinsic reliability of photonic devices and ICs post-fabrication.
• Conduct DOEs to develop reliability models and optimize process changes.
• Develop new reliability characterization, acceleration techniques, and quality screens.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology development follows hirify.global’s methodology.
• Determine root causes of failures from reliability testing or customer returns.
• Ensure smooth transition from development to high-volume manufacturing (HVM) phases.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• PhD in Photonics, Physics, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering, OR Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of proven experience in photonics device development at a leading foundry or 4+ years in an academic institution.
• Deep knowledge of compound semiconductor processing and photonic device physics.
• Experience with device characterization, yield, reliability, or test/validation.
• Strong data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, SAS, or JMP.

Nice to have

• Experience in process certification, product qualification, and reliability risk assessment.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as Telcordia GR-468 or AEC-Q102.
• Familiarity with model-based problem-solving techniques like 5 Whys or 8D.
• Experience with SQL scripting and advanced statistical analysis.
