Accounts Receivable & Billing Manager (SaaS)

Location: 100% virtual anywhere in the US; travel of up to 10% may be required for orientation, industry or company events, and onsite meetings.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD annual base salary, plus bonus, benefits, perks, and community gains.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end customer billing process and ensure accurate, timely invoicing.
• Review contracts, amendments, renewals, credits, subscription terms, usage-based charges, and special billing arrangements.
• Manage accounts receivable, collections, reconciliations, payment trends, disputes, escalation procedures, and bad debt risk.
• Partner with Sales, Revenue Accounting, Legal, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations to resolve contract and billing issues.
• Improve contract-to-cash processes, data quality, system controls, automation, reporting, and scalable workflows.
• Lead, mentor, and develop billing and collections team members while establishing performance expectations and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, order-to-cash, revenue operations, or related financial operations, including team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of subscription billing, collections, contract management, and revenue-related processes.
• Experience supporting a SaaS, subscription-based, recurring-revenue, or similar business model.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems, with the ability to analyze data and develop reports and KPIs.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, integrity, discretion, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Chargebee, Zuora, Stripe, or similar ERP, CRM, and subscription billing platforms.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with internal controls, financial audits, SOX compliance, system implementations, or operational transformation initiatives.
