Senior Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; office attendance required four days per week

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 annual on-target compensation, including base salary and performance-based variable compensation

What you will do

• Own day-to-day general ledger accounting for accruals, fixed assets, leases, prepaids, intangibles, and other accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting analyses, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close deliverables.
• Complete financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, procedures, and technical accounting research.
• Partner with FP&A and operations teams, provide financial insights, and support external audits.
• Lead accounting process improvements and automation initiatives and support acquisition integration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in public accounting or a high-growth SaaS/technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial statements, and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred, along with strong Excel skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with accruals, fixed assets, partner fees, leases, or prepaids; CPA license or active CPA candidacy is beneficial.
