Business Systems Analyst I – IS

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day

Salary: $70,304–$143,000 annual base salary, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements for business applications.
• Lead requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process-mapping sessions.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved user experience.
• Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, data models, functional specifications, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Use SQL for reporting, troubleshooting, data validation, and quality assurance activities.
• Support application validation, user acceptance testing, issue investigation, requirements tracking, and user support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of the software development life cycle, Agile methodologies, requirements management, process modeling, testing practices, and data analysis.
• Experience using SQL to query and analyze data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, presentation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours when collaborating with offshore developers and QA engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience in business analysis, systems analysis, process improvement, application support, data analysis, consulting, internships, or academic projects.
• Experience with scenario development, test case construction, flowcharting, or project management.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable reporting and data visualization platforms.
• Experience in manufacturing, finance, supply chain, procurement, or another specific business domain.
