Technical Business Analyst, Product

Location: Remote within the United States, with approximately 10–15% travel to client sites, PCG offices, and other venues

Salary: $73,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Build deep working knowledge of the EDPlan product, including configuration, behavior, and the impact of requested changes.
• Gather and review requirements and translate business and client needs into functional specifications, process diagrams, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Own incident management from identification through escalation, coordination, resolution, and documentation.
• Lead defect triage by investigating root causes, coordinating fixes with development, verifying resolutions, and communicating status through closure.
• Coordinate testing with engineering and QA, support user acceptance testing, and contribute to product improvements, implementations, rollouts, and roadmap discussions.
• Prepare documentation, release notes, end-user communications, and internal training materials while managing multiple concurrent workstreams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, organization, and judgment when investigating incidents and defects.
• Ability to manage incidents, defects, and project deadlines while remaining calm and organized under pressure.
• Clear communication skills with clients and technical teams, including during high-stakes incident and defect discussions.
• Ability to learn a complex product, identify inconsistencies, navigate ambiguity, and recognize when escalation is needed.
• Two to five years of relevant experience in business analysis, technical support, incident management, or product-related work is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, Axure RP, Power BI, or SQL.
• Education-sector experience or familiarity with education data systems.
